To achieve accreditation, an organization must comply with UPSA standards in their operations and programs, including: areas of sales training and education, instruction methodology, teaching pedagogy, and technology. An organization must be able to show 90% (or greater) alignment to the Compendium of Professional Selling published by UPSA and demonstrate their ability to deliver a combination of technical sales training in conjunction with education that defines and supports the sales profession. The accrediting board, a panel of UPSA board members, votes on the final accreditation.
The accreditation program of the United Professional Sales Association is the only one of its kind to monitor the quality of academic degree programs. Rolled out in 2002, the program was developed by a team of sales executives and writers of UPSA’s international standards. With the introduction of the SalesUniversity.com virtual campus, and their unique blended learning solutions, Sales University can deliver their comprehensive curriculum for achievement to anyone with access to the World Wide Web. This accreditation gives sales professionals, and sales development professionals an avenue for identifying professional development programs that measure up with the highest standards for the sales profession.
